Remote medical opinion
Online consultations with Israeli doctors
A remote consultation may help clarify a diagnosis, review a proposed treatment plan or identify the most appropriate next step before travelling.
When an online consultation may be useful
Patients commonly request a consultation after receiving a new or complex diagnosis, when several treatment options have been proposed, or when they want a second opinion from an Israeli specialist.
Documents usually required
- A recent medical summary and pathology report, when relevant.
- Laboratory results and imaging reports.
- A list of current medicines, doses and allergies.
- A clear description of the questions for the physician.
What the consultation can and cannot do
The physician can review the available information and provide an expert opinion. A remote consultation may not be sufficient for a final diagnosis or prescription when a physical examination, original imaging, laboratory testing or local legal requirements are involved.
